No matter what kind of community you’re looking for, we have great group environments available for you to stay connected around GCC. Special interest groups mainly meet on-site at Grace and range from specific topics to a particular age and life stage. Find a group that’s right for you!

New Believers

Starting Point
Starting Point is a 10-week small group for those who are new to faith, curious about God, or coming back to church after some time away. It’s a place where your opinions and beliefs are valued, and no question is off limits.

Starting Point groups meets Sunday mornings, February 3, 2019 through April 10, 2019 and there will be two separate sessions, the first meeting at 9:00am and the second meeting at 11:00am.

Neighbors

Neighborhood Groups
Neighborhood Groups are Christians within the same neighborhood living and working together to celebrate Jesus, care for one another, and love their neighbors.

Neighborhood Groups launch September and will meet through May.

Future Leaders

Future Leader Groups
Future Leader Groups are groups that follow a twelve-week small group study to prepare and equip future small group leaders. This is a discipleship based study where you will be led by seasoned small group leaders in an environment built for learning and growth.

Future Leader Groups meet Sunday evenings, September 16, 2018 through December 16, 2018.

Women

Tuesday Early Morning Fall Study
Dig Deep is a podcast ministry designed to help women lay the foundations of their lives on God’s Word that meets bright and early on Tuesday mornings for light breakfast and fellowship, followed by dynamic live teaching and small group discussion.

Tuesday Morning Study
In the spirit of Titus 2:3-5, Woven is a place where women of all seasons weave their lives together as they study the Word in small groups. We encourage one another to pursue Christ, discuss ideas and learn together; we laugh, cry, pray, and share in each other’s lives.

Tuesday Evening Study
Rooted is a Tuesday evening program that centers on being rooted and built up in Christ (Colossians 2:6-7) through the study of the Bible. Four study groups offer different Bible studies for the Fall and Spring.

Monday Evening Fall Study
Join men from all ages and backgrounds as they journey through the book of Acts and uncover of how the early church navigated leadership, money, ethnic divisions, and theology.

Family

Moms
Calling all moms of children “still on the way” through 5th graders! GKMoms is gathering for fellowship, encouragement, and biblical teaching to spur each other on in discipling our children to be lifetime followers of Christ.

GKMoms meets monthly on the second Thursdays, September 13, 2018 through May 9, 2019 from 7-9:30pm.

Marriages
re|engage is a biblical-based marriage enrichment program designed to provide a safe place for couples to reconnect, reignite and resurrect their marriages. This program is for all couples who want to invest in their marriage, side-by-side with other couples. It examines God’s design for marriage and encourages couples to grow in their relationship with each other and God. Enjoy a time of large group teaching, marriage testimonies, and worship, followed by a small group discussion.

Step-Families
Using The Smart Stepfamily by Ron Deal, the StepFamily Small Group is for engaged, recently married, and experienced step-couples. Facilitated by step couples who understand what it takes.

Support Groups

Addictions: 12-Step Recovery Bible Study
This is an open group on Monday nights at 6:30pm (drop in any week) to all who are recovering or have a relative struggling with an addiction and would like to draw strength from the Bible.

Boundaries
Do you struggle with your responses to people’s request or demands on your time, talents or resources? This group is for those who long for biblically-based insights setting healthy boundaries with family, friends, co-workers or yourself.

The group meets Monday evenings, March 4, 2019 through May 6, 2019.

DivorceCare
DivorceCare Recovery Group is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through separation or divorce alone.

The next group meets Thursday evenings, January 17, 2019 through April 11, 2019

GriefShare
GriefShare is a place where hurting people find healing and hope through a Christ-centered perspective as they examine soul-level questions about death and eternal life. Anyone grieving the loss of a loved one is welcome to join our group.

The group meets Wednesday evenings April 10 through July 31, 2019 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM..

Healing Journey: Restarting
Jumpstart a new chapter of life empowered by joy – not fear, anxiety, addiction, or abuse. Learn new relationship skills that help you, and those around you, thrive. Draw closer to the Lord and practice powerful exercises to help you get “unstuck” by training your brain for health and wholeness. Gain strength from being part of group that understands. Workbook $25.

The next group meets Tuesday evenings, February 12 through May 7, 2019. This group will close registration after the first meeting.

Infertility
Shiloh is a care group for women experiencing infertility and/or miscarriage. Join with other women who understand and be encouraged through drawing near to God’s heart in his Word. Gain practical wisdom to navigate emotions, questions and decisions as we walk side by side in the journey.

Shiloh meets bi-weekly on Mondays at Grace: Jan 28, Feb 11 & 25, March 11 & 25, April 8 & 29, May 6 & 20

Admission is open.

Mental Health
This care group is for families and friends of people dealing with mental illness or disorders. Find support, give support to others, and gain practical skills and tools. Rebuild your families through a focus on God’s grace for life transformation.

Sexual Abuse
Healing the Wounded Heart is an honest and hopeful journey into the damage of sexual abuse. With great compassion the group offers hope for victims of rape, date rape, incest, molestation,  and  more, exposing the raw wounds that are left behind and clearing the path toward wholeness and healing. Never minimizing victims’ pain or offering pat spiritual answers that don’t truly address the problem, the group  instead calls evil evil and lights the way to renewed joy. If you are a victim of sexual abuse or know someone who is, please consider participating in or referring to this group.

Marie Celano, LCPC, Director of Grace Counseling will be facilitating the group using Dan Allendar’s book “Healing the Wounded Heart.”  The next group starts  June 26, 2019.

Sexual Betrayal
Women dealing with the devastating impact of sexual betrayal are invited to join a community of women on this unintended journey. You are not alone! There is hope and healing through Jesus. Rescued Women: Surviving & Thriving After Sexual Betrayal is a confidential group that provides a safe place for support, encouragement, and growth.

The group will meet Thursdays, October 4, 2018 through May 16, 2019.

Sexual Purity
Regeneration Rescue is for men who long for purity yet struggle with sexual sin in any form. Rescue runs year-round in four 12-week quarters. Receive support, coaching, and healing prayer from a team committed to helping you succeed.

The next group meets Tuesday evenings, January 8 through December 17, 2019.

Each group cycle closes after he second session.

Event: Loss Of A Spouse
If you are grieving the death of your husband or wife, we invite you to Grief Share’s “Loss of a Spouse” sponsored event, Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 7pm in Grace Place.
