Rena grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania and graduated from Temple University. She worked in a Philadelphia rehabilitation center for a number of years before moving to Maryland to work for Easter Seals, where learned sign language and worked as an interpreter while God transitioned her into full time ministry.
Before coming to Grace, Rena served at Bethany Community Church and was a key initiator of their Deaf Ministry and later served as Women’s Ministry Director with a passion for discipleship and leadership. There she began her ongoing passion for lay-counseling, spiritual direction and healing prayer.
Rena joined the staff at Grace in 2009 as Director of Children’s ministry. Since 2015 her role was expanded as she serves as the Executive Director of Impact. Her passions revolve around seeing people display their gifts for God’s glory, encouraging leaders for sustained momentum and mentoring women for the kingdom.
Rena and her husband, Warren, consistently open their home as a place for small groups, visiting field workers and camp staff. Their children, Julia and Joseph, who also attend Grace, serve in Grace Students and Grace Adventures Day Camp.
Dream for Grace Community Church
Rena’s dream for Grace is for us to give a warm welcome to anyone God brings to us, to introduce them to Jesus and put God’s glory on display and to grow an army of leaders on fire for Jesus, leading the nations and generations towards a knowledge of Jesus Christ.
