Mitchel is a Maryland native and holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of Maryland, a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College Graduate School. He is also a graduate of the 36th class of the Arrow Leadership Program.
Joining Grace initially as a teaching pastor in 2012, Mitchel has served as Lead Pastor since August 2016. He brings a wide range of experience in international missions, student ministry, teaching, and leadership development.
Mitchel is husband to Sarah and a father to Calvin, Noah, Benjamin, Beatrice, and Owen. A soccer coach and avid fly fisherman, he’s been known to wear his waders for baptisms.
