Natalie’s Baptism Story

Natalie’s Baptism Story

My name is Natalie Jeon, and I am twelve years old. I was raised in a Christian home, so I have basically always known who Jesus is. I feel like Jesus has always been a big part of my life, and I want to share that with as many people as possible.

Before I really knew who Christ was, I was always questioning everything, wondering how people could be so sure about their faith and how my parents put so much faith in God. When my family started coming to Grace when I was in fourth grade, my faith in God and who Christ is has grown. When I went to my first baptism gathering at Grace, it was such a big deal, more than it was at the previous church I went to. I think it was the first time I thought that I could be baptized, too.

But challenges in life came, like when my grandma had to get surgery. I learned to put my trust in Christ when my she had knee surgery, and it was scary because she had put it off for so long and her legs were getting progressively worse. I didn’t think my grandma was going to do well in her recovery, and there was always the possibility that the surgery could go wrong. My grandma recovered even better than what the doctors thought, and I feel like God was showing me His presence in my life. My grandparents and parents had always been believers in Christ, and I knew God had healed my grandma.

So now I want to get baptized because I believe that I am saved through the love of Christ, and I want to share that love with others.
