kidZone – Kindergarten through 5th Grade

Our theme for kidZone is  “God’s Big Story” and is divided into three departments: K/1, 2nd – 4th grades, and 5th grade.

In kidZone, we believe the Bible should never be boring. We introduce scripture through energetic worship and interactive, creative teaching. Our kids also engage in small groups where they begin to build lasting friendships and learn how to apply the Bible to their own lives and learn to grow in their relationship with Christ. We’ve designed a fun place to develop faith and character!

When entering kidZone, each child is greeted by a First Impression team member and then enters their room and is met by either their team coach or their small group leader.  Children are assigned to a small group  with meaningful activities to learn foundational discipleship tools and aspects of the Bible story for the day.

Once check-in closes, the formal part of the kidZone service begins and the children transition to the Large Group environment where they worship together and hear the Bible story from the lead teacher.  We use the truth of the Bible story, along with technology, costumes, props, and characters from the story to make the Bible come to life and more meaningful to children in each age group.

After participating in Large Group, children return to their small group where their leaders help them understand the meaning of the Bible lesson and how it can fit into their everyday life. Our kidZone small group leaders are serious about developing relationships with kids and passionate about teaching the truth of the Bible.  We want children to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. Our goals in kid Zone are for children to Know God, Love God and serve God.  We also teach with a global perspective in kidZone, which exposes children to having a broadened community and world view.
