You may remember him as a guest speaker during our Advent series last year, and now it’s our pleasure to introduce Seth Rumsey to you as our new Small Groups Pastor.
Seth graduated from Bethel University with a B.A. in Art Education in 2006 and from Wheaton College with a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2014.
Seth comes to us from Community Fellowship Church in West Chicago, where he served in youth ministry for the past 11 years. He brings with him his wife, Joy, two daughters, Davy (2) and Joanna (1), and a passion for pastoral ministry.
“What excites me most about pastoral ministry are the opportunities to live out and experience Ephesians 4:11-16,” he said. “I have a passion for equipping the saints for the work of ministry in order that the body of Christ may continue to grow and build itself up in love. It’s always a joy to see lives transformed by Christ in the context of Biblical community as followers of Jesus serve, speak, and sacrificially love one another for the glory of Jesus and his church.”
In addition to serving in ministry, Seth enjoys the outdoors, woodworking, reading, creative writing, painting and drawing, watching HGTV, Broomball and other such “sports” and activities.
