THE MERCY TEAM: Practical & Spiritual Care in Times of Crisis

Initiated by the Grace Elders, The Mercy Team ensures no one is left on their own in times of crisis. While we are a large church, we are committed to caring for each individual. Many people at Grace are in a small group that can provide support, but not every need can be met by a small group nor is everyone at Grace in a small group. That’s when the Mercy Team goes into action.

Mercy Team members are adept at organizing care and walking alongside people during medical crises, life crises such as grief / family crises, addiction, becoming homebound, and emotional or financial distress. Team members have experienced crises themselves and are passionate about sharing God’s grace and hope.

Care can take the form of prayer, visits, meals, transportation, and other benevolence assistance.

We provide:

    • Care networks for individuals without a small group or other support network
    • Care assistance for small groups caring for someone with extensive needs
  • Immediate assistance when existing support is not available

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
